The Waco Sashay
by DCDave

When they said there was a compromise
Of the element of surprise
The feds were clearly telling lies.

They launched their bloody matinee
Several hours into the day
With troop trucks seen from far away.

They were met, they said, by a rifle burst.
That's why they had to do their worst:
They weren't the ones who got off first.

There had to be a justification
For shooting up a congregation,
So "lost surprise" was their explanation.

Mine's not the last word on this score.
Hard evidence could tell us more,
Like that missing steel front door.
