Spooked
by DCDave

Consider the double agent,
So devious and bold,
Who passes to the enemy
Pure strategic gold.

It's the price he has to pay
To win the other's trust,
All he gives away
Is no more than what he must.

Behold the "maverick" journalist,
And how he gets believed
When it's our own public
That has to be deceived.

He helps us score some goals
And he makes himself a name,
But his larger job's to see
That we don't win the game.
