Man for the Job
by DCDave

(Verses) A most essential qualification
For the presidency of this fair nation
Is that of principles he be completely free.
I didn't say he shouldn't have many,
I said and meant he should not have any
To be the sort of stooge he has to be.

Why bother with a fresh election
When the man we have fits to perfection
And threatens to reveal no treachery?
We needn't look to east or west
The incumbent politician's best
At pleasing all the rotten powers that be.

(Chorus) It's the value-free presidency,
It's not meant for you and me,
But it can educate you very well;
It's the value-free presidency,
If we look hard then we can see
Why those other major empires fell.
