John Doe II
by DCDave

They painted a vivid portrait
Of John Doe Number Two.
They did a far, far better job
Than you or I might do.

Could you recall so perfectly
A man you'd barely met,
Whose face there was no reason why
You shouldn't just forget?

A stranger thing in that fair state
I think there never was
Since Dorothy rode on a storm
Back from the Land of Oz.

For now they say, "Oh, never mind,"
He wasn't with McVeigh.
John Doe II was just some guy
They saw some other day.
